Pathways: Taking Education Outside

Objective:
Pathways offers participants of all ages the opportunity to explore and observe the dynamic changes that occur in local ecosystems throughout the year. By visiting Okihi, participants will gain a firsthand understanding of seasonal changes and ecological processes, enhancing their connection to the land. This programs takes the particiapants through a gentle beautiful morning of activites, funded by the Kern County Parks and Rec. You will leave inspired and with a deeper understanding of your local ecosystem.

Key Components:

  • Scientific Observations: Documenting seasonal changes in flora, fauna, and environmental factors.

  • Silent Nature Walks: Mindful walking experiences to encourage a deeper emotional and mental connection to nature.

  • Creative Art Projects: Art-based activities that incorporate themes from nature, fostering creativity and ecological awareness.

Mindful Movement: Yoga and movement exercises in nature to promote physical and mental
